How my Mother taught me Marketing

Marketing lessons, I learnt from my Mother

My Ma: (Meeting conventional family for my matrimonial prospect) – My daughter has a lot of interest in home décor, cooking and managing household work.

Ma meeting modern Family – My daughter is working in a corporate and handling marketing communication. She is capable of balancing home and work.

Lesson - Marketing is a process by which a product or service (in this case me) is introduced and promoted to potential customers (in this case prospect’s family) based on their needs.

Ma (to me and my brother when we were kids) – Whoever cleans the room will get a Pizza tonight and whoever cleans the living room as well, will get a cold drink in addition. (Aur yeh ek saazish hoti thi jab guest aane wale ho)

Lesson - Marketing is nothing but creating offering based on consumer need. Communicating this offering to consumer and delivering this offering to them.
